KRIŠKE DEBUT ON EXIT LABEL

Kriške's debut album of the same name, released in March this year for “Odličan hrčak“, has been released for free download at Exit Label today, at Exitmusic.rs. This is the first album of the band which has existed for 3 years now, and whose genre is unclassifiable at first, due to their extraordinary innovations. Balancing between the slick commercial sound of 70's, and Krautrock and Noise bands' sounds, Kriške have defined a completely new sound on the domestic scene, providing instant pleasure for all those who have waited for a band like this for a long long time!
 
The debut was recorded in an analog environment, at ”Kramasonik” studio in Zagreb. The album features ten songs, among which is a certain hit, Penicilin. The band also recorded a great video for Penicilin, which is featured on this link.
 
The band was formed in 2009 by Dragan Jovanović, Milan Bukejlović and Damjan Babić, who had already played together in the Alternative Rock band called Zemlja broj 9, just before they disbanded in 2008. godine. After the split, Milan, Dragan and Damjan continued with their work, and soon welcomed a new member, the singer Olivera Svilan. Oliver significantly contributed to the creative and stylistic approach of the band, which became more open and more communicative. Kriške state that they are not commentators of political and social happenings in the country, and that musical form is the only thing that matters. So far, the band has played numerous concerts in the country and the region, and has participated in festivals and group gigs in Serbia, Macedonia, Slovenia and Croatia, where the audience reacted better than anyone could ever expect!
