Nick Bitzenis is a musical genius, hiding under a Greek popster pseudonym, Mikro, but is also a co-founder of Undo records, together with his colleague George Geranios. As Geranios, Nick Bitzenis is a member of the FOTONOVELA team, which released their own album "Mistakes Are Good" in 2008. Not only that, but they also known as the production team for the girls from the act Marsheaux, who we had the chance to see at Elektrana stage in 2011!
Never steady, Bitzenis does not leave his solo career aside. He manages to lead a solo project under the name NIKONN. Alongside his instrumental tracks, NIKONN features guest vocalists on his songs, Greek popular singers Maria Papadopulou and Marula Koutsuri, in combination with his own, deep baritone. If you can imagine that, trust us, it sounds even better!
Released in 2005, "Poladroid" quietly became one of the best selling albums Undo Records had ever released. It was a perfect Electronic Chillout album with beautiful textures and warm melodies. The successor “Utopia“ from 2008, manages to follow its predecessor, not only by quality, but also by the highest standards that the successful debut had achieved. Nick described this album as a perfect compilation of dreamy melodies.
The latest album, "Instamatic“ is highly influenced by the Nordic world, which NIKKON parallels with the Aegean sea romance. "Instamatic" is filled with the “fluff“ of vox femina moments, with a nominally higher tempo in comparison to the previous two albums. We have the opportunity to witness the sophisticated shades of his musical opus at Elektrana stage this summer.
