solardip is an Electro/Indie band, based in Istanbul, comprising of Emir Arkman, Duygu Aba and Yigit Gurcihan. With their French Electro/Indie-influenced sound, solardip is one of the few live acts of their genre in Turkey. In a short period of time, these three Istanbul youngsters have attracted a big audience. solardip is not just a band, now it's a constant - a little wild, a little trashy.

solardip is now a radical gathering idea. Protectors from fear of manipulation, shallow entertainment and the power of cheap tricks. solardip gains their power from the infamous lightning branding and together, we forget all our problems, greed, money and focus on brutality. Brutality on mind without the technique, without any question mark and elitism. PURE ENTERTAINMENT.

Having released their first EP "Dip Inside" in August 2009, the band has appeared on many blogs and websites, having been broadcasted by well-known national radio stations. In a short time, they invaded the audience: "Dip Inside EP" was released for free download where more then 10.000 unique users clicked. Then they begun to stage their music live, influenced by French Electro, Indie, Synth-Pop and Nu-Disco, along with impressive visuals. Soon recognized as one of Istanbul's most favored live Electro-Indie bands, solardip has given concerts in renowned venues, such as Babylon, Ghetto, Indigo, Dogzstar, Peyote, Tamirane and played at many local & international events. Before their break in 2011, solardip played the Spirit Of Burgas Festival main stage with UNKLE, Dj Shadow, The Prodigy and more.

The band became well-recognized and was given positive criticisms by the press and the media after the release of their second EP, "Deeply In Love", released in April 2010. After a little a break they released a remix collection album, including remixes and remakes of the track "60 Minutes" from the second EP. The Debut album "Future Now" was released in March 2012 by Remoov Records & Muzikotek, after the release of the spectacular single & video of "Dance Like Wolves" Many songs from the two EPs and the debut were remixed by renowned local & foreign artists.
