Sodom belong to the first generation of Thrash Metal bands, deeply rooted in the underground, but are also the undpisputed, sovereign holders of the title for one of the most respected Thrash bands of the old continent. According to many critics, Sodom, among others, have also set up a foundation for something which will later spring off a new genre, Black Metal, with their first demo tapes and the first EP, Under The Sign Of Evil. In their three-decade long career, the band has ravished all the continents with their sound, made an army of fans in all parts of the world, and what matters the most, never stepped away from their initial principles.
