Fusion Stage / Friday, July 13 2012
On Friday, the calendars will be marked bold – we are welcoming The Toy Dolls, the great British punk rock band formed in 1979. The band gained a big fan base in a short period of time – while the beginnings of the band were classified as belonging to the Oi! scene, their singalong choruses notably became anthems of the pop punk world. Their debut, 1983 album named Dig That Groove Baby earned them loud media attention, while 1984’s cover of the children’s song Nellie the Elephant placed them on number 4 on UK charts, and remained in the top 100 for 12 weeks. After more than 30 years of active musical service, 12 studio albums and a great number of bassists and drummers who passed through the band, Toy Dolls are returning this year, with their comeback, named The Album After the Last One, whose name is a parody on their 2004 album, symbolically entitled - Our Last Album?
