Since 1999, DAT Politics have been one of the most important electro-exatic bands on the planet.
Standing far from a standard “cool“ image of the French Electronic scene, DAT Politics channel their roughly sharpened Turbo Pop mood by creating some of the catchiest melodies on their computers. They are trying to record their working mistakes and use them in their songs, which creates a strange atmosphere with this simply complicated band.
Their new album, Blitz Gazer, released in April 2012 represents a new, exciting stage in the band’s career. Recorded entirely in Berlin during 2011, Blitz Gazer definitely satisfies all senses of passionate Electro sound lovers, who will easily find themselves in some of the 12 tracks from the album.
Unexpected, but a very surprising ability to set the voltage as low as possible creates synthetic tones which resemble 80’s pop hits, and give a new note of a children's robo ballad.
Blitz Gazer is a glorious patchwork, a dynamic and an almost unreal mixture only DAT Politics can achieve.
