Im Universit\u00e4tspark als Studentenbewegung gegr\u00fcndet, die f\u00fcr Demokratie und Freiheit in Serbien und am Balkan k\u00e4mpft, fand das EXIT im Jahr 2000 das erste Mal statt. Nach den jugoslawischen Parlamentswahlen im Jahr 2000 zog EXIT im Jahr 2001 in die Festung Petrovaradin um.<\/p>\n

Da das Festival im Geiste echter Jugendrebellion, als Bewegung f\u00fcr die Freiheit in Serbien und den Frieden auf dem Balkan gegr\u00fcndet wurde, war das Leitbild des Festivals von Anfang an klar – mit Musik sozialen Wandel zu erreichen. Soziale Verantwortung ist immer noch der Schl\u00fcsselaspekt der Festivalaktivit\u00e4ten, mit dem Hauptaugenmerk auf Umwelt- und humanit\u00e4re Aktivit\u00e4ten, die Entwicklung der Kreativwirtschaft sowie die regionale Zusammenarbeit.[\/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=“148043″ img_size=“full“ alignment=“center“][vc_column_text]In seiner 20-j\u00e4hrigen Geschichte hat EXIT international gefeierte Musikstars wie die Pet Shop Boys, Billy Idol, The Cure, The Killers, Guns N‘ Roses, Franz Ferdinand, Mot\u00f6rhead, Iggy Pop, David Guetta, Massive Attack, Liam Gallagher, Grace Jones, Fatboy Slim, Cypress Hill, Beastie Boys, Snoop Dogg, Wu-Tang Clan, The Prodigy, Migos, Sex Pistols, Kraftwerk, Korn, Moby, Arctic Monkeys, Chemical Brothers, Faith No More, LCD Soundsystem, Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds, Pulp, Jamiroquai, M.I.A., Slayer, Ellie Goulding, Hardwell, Carl Cox, Avicii, Nina Kraviz und viele andere beherbergt.<\/p>\n

Das EXIT Festival wurde bei den EU Festival Awards 2013 und 2017 offiziell als „Bestes gro\u00dfe europ\u00e4ische Festival“ ausgezeichnet. EXIT hat auch die Auszeichnung „Best Overseas Festival“ bei den UK Festival Awards im Jahr 2007 gewonnen, sowie den Titel „Best Summer Music Festival in Europe“ in 2016 vom Reiseportal „European Best Destinations“ in Zusammenarbeit mit der Europ\u00e4ischen Kommission.
