Sea Dance Breaks into the Finals for the Best New European Festival Title!

After the premier edition of the Sea Dance Festival, held this year from 15th to 17th July at the Jaz beach in Budva, the Adriatic festival pearl had marked an unprecedented success among the Montenegrin music events! This is best evidenced by the fact that SDF made it through the finals in both of its EFA nominated categories, Best New European Festival and Best Medium-sized European Festival, thanks to over 1,2 million people all over the world who voted at the European Festival Awards.

As far as Best New Festivals go, Sea Dance is now part of the heated race with 9 other festivals from 9 other European countries including Holland, France, Germany, and Belgium. Another great success is the fact that SDF made into the Best Medium-Sized Festivals category, which includes the famous German Berlin Festival, Hungarian Balaton Sound and Volt. Festivals, as well as the Croatian Hideout!

EXIT was nominated in the highly important Best Major European Festivals category, entering the fierce competition of world-class festivals. Based on audience votes from all over the world, EXIT made it to the finals, with 12 other best in class and incredibly important European festivals, such as the Danish Roskilde, Belgian Tomorrowland, Hungarian Sziget, and German Rock am Ring!

A record-breaking 1.200.000 fans voted at the EFAs this year, which is a 100% more voters than last year.

The beauty of it all is that both festivals that made up the EXIT Adventure made it into the final race for prestigious festival awards! The winners, selected by audience votes in tandem with the EFAs jury of eminent individuals in the industry, will be revealed at the award ceremony at the Eurosonic Noorderslag festival in Groningen, Holland, on 14th January 2015.

One of the artists who will commemorate the event is Stromae. He made it into the finals of three categories at the EFAs: best headliner, best new performer, festival anthem of the year!

One of the finalists for Best Headliner based on audience votes besides Stromae, are Queens of the Stone Age. Some of the artists who are running for the Newcomer of the Year award are Stromae, Mighty Oaks, and Birth of Joy, all of which held performances at this year’s EXIT Festival. Stromae is also running for Festival Anthem of the Year with his hit “Papaoutai”!
