Bravo,<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201c is<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nme.com\/blogs\/festivals-blog\/exit-festival-2022-day-four-serbian-summer-blowout-gets-politically-conscious-3266510\"> <b>NME\u2019s<\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> impression after spending four days at the festival.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>NME writer Max Pilley<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> specifically <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nme.com\/blogs\/festivals-blog\/exit-festival-2022-day-three-review-calvin-harris-3265738\"><b>described<\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> the atmosphere at <\/span><b>Calvin Harris\u2019 <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">performance:\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cTens of thousands gather at the Main Stage, glow sticks primed, for a stroll through a sizeable chunk of the last decade\u2019s most globally-recognised pop music. He works his way through one mega-hit after another, each more rapturously received by the EXIT revellers than the last, as Harris casually throws out choruses from his A-list friends, from\u00a0Rihanna\u00a0to\u00a0Dua Lipa\u00a0and\u00a0Sam Smith. <\/span><b>You do have to remember that this is not just a mainstream club night playlist, but the work of one man\u2019s contribution to the culture<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.\u201c<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Impressions from the concert of <\/span><b>Nick Cave and his The Bad Seeds<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> also went around the world via NME, who described the performance as an \u201c<\/span><b>unforgettable emotional release<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201c.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cThe tragedies that have befallen Nick Cave in recent years are well known, but if anything, it has only served to amplify the emotional impact of his stage presence. For over two hours, he held the EXIT crowd under a rapturous spell with a set that moved from tender introspection to pulverising explosions of joy. Cave moves across the stage as if he is the Messiah, and it doesn\u2019t jar even slightly. When he reaches into the crowd, people reach back as if receiving a gift,\u201d <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nme.com\/blogs\/festivals-blog\/exit-festival-day-two-review-nick-cave-3265412\"><b>says<\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Max Pilley.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The author also noted that<\/span><b> \u201cEXIT\u2019s booking policy to this day deserves credit for giving such a sizeable platform to bands like Sepultura\u201d, <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">while <\/span><b>Marky Ramone\u2019s<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> performance is said to have proved \u201c<\/span><b>that the original spirit of punk is<\/b> <b>alive and well.<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>NME <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">believes <\/span><b>Honey Dijon\u2019s<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> 2:30 mts Dance Arena performance was \u201c<\/span><b>timed absolutely perfectly<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201c, including what they called \u201c<\/span><b>moments of giddy euphoria sprinkled throughout the set<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201c. \u201cDijon swings from classic disco stylings to hyperpop with ease. The EXIT crowd rises to her challenge and maintains its energy level for the duration, as much in excitement to discover which direction she is heading in next as anything else,\u201d they added.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">NME has also highlighted the <\/span><b>No Sleep<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> stage on a few occasions, emphasising its, as they say, \u201cappropriate name\u201c and owl-shaped stage, located between two steep fortress walls. Max Pilley describes the walk between the Fusion and Main Stage as \u201c<\/span><b>travelling between galaxies<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201c.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201c<\/span><b>Such is the joyful diversity of what EXIT Festival supplies<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> that even that short walk involves passing stages that in turn are blaring out techno, reggae and punk,\u201d he adds.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The NME writer concludes that<\/span><b> \u201cthe festival\u2019s 2022 slogan \u2018Together Always\u2019 turns out to be true.\u201d<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>\u201cThis is a place where all forms of music are welcome, and people are invited to come together to enjoy them in unity,\u201d <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">he points out<\/span><b>.<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Earlier this year, NME nominated EXIT for the best festival in the world as part of the <\/span><b>BandLab NME awards<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, putting the Serbian event among 10 worldwide festivals, including <\/span><b>Reading &amp; Leeds, Fuji Rock and Wireless<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. EXIT thus found itself among the most important figures in the global music industry, such as <\/span><b>Lana Del Rey, Billie Eilish, The Weeknd, M\u00e5neskin, BTS, Lil Nas X, Taylor Swift, and Liam Gallagher<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, who were also nominated in various categories.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The British magazine NME (New Musical Express) <\/span><b>is one of the world\u2019s most renowned media outlets<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, with a 70-year history, during which it has covered topics in music, film, and
