This bond has only grown stronger during the two decades of the EXIT festival.<\/b><\/p>\n<div class=\"embed-container\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"The Prodigy: EXIT is our favorite festival!\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/l6-Bcw6sqN8?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This iconic band\u2019s first concert in Serbia was organised at the initiative of renowned music critic <\/span><b>Dragan Ambrozi\u0107<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, while production manager <\/span><b>Zlatko Jo\u0161i\u0107 <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">also took part in the organization. Regarding the band\u2019s big return to <\/span><b>EXIT 2023<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, <\/span><b>Ambrozi\u0107 <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">said that <\/span><b>The Prodigy<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> know they are coming \u201cto their second home, to their people, because we share a common dream.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b><i>\u201cThis re-energises everyone who has already seen them and everyone who hasn&#8217;t had the opportunity to come to EXIT before, to all who know that miracles are possible in this country if we want them strongly enough. EXIT protects that shared dream, which started with one concert before growing and expanding through EXIT itself, \u201c<\/i><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u2013 <\/span><b>Ambrozi\u0107 <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">points out.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The arrival of <\/span><b>The Prodigy<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> in 1995 was the first major concert in a country affected by wars and sanctions. At the time, the album <\/span><b>\u201cMusic For The Jilted Generation\u201c <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">shook the global scene, cementing its cult status and becoming the epitome of the new, hybrid rave punk movement and the voice of a rejected generation. The song \u201c<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=s5S8KuQ8tXk\"><b>Breathe<\/b><\/a><b>\u201c<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> had its premiere at Pionir Hall, and \u201c<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=wmin5WkOuPw\"><b>Firestarter<\/b><\/a><b>\u201c<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> was played for the second time ever. <\/span><b>Liam Howlett<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, the author of these and all other songs of the band, examined the audience\u2019s reactions to the sound of the upcoming album \u201c<\/span><b>The Fat Of The Land<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201c, which would go down in music history as the cause of the planetary electronic music craze. For \u201c<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=L1WGr0xp6HU\"><b>No Good<\/b><\/a><b>\u201c, <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">the band brought a girl from the audience to the stage, and that scene is still remembered as \u201cthe moment when Serbia danced with the world again.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b><i>&#8220;Of course, we remember that concert; we were very aware of everything going on. We are terribly proud and moved when we talk about it with people from Serbia; we are connected by love and respect. Serbia is one of The Prodigy\u2019s spiritual homes; there will always be a powerful connection between us, \u201c <\/i><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u2013<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">recalled <\/span><b>Liam Howlett <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">in an interview almost two decades later.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>The Prodigy<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">,<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">carrying the voice and rhythm of the jilted, met a lost generation and gave it new energy, strength, and a sense of freedom, rebellion, and revolution through music. This connection has strengthened through the years at the <\/span><b>EXIT festival<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, and the energy lives on almost three decades later through old and new generations who understand the band\u2019s unique, socially engaged message.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b><i>&#8220;The message is straightforward and clear \u2014 you can be different; you can live your life the way you imagined it \u2014 and every generation has taken it to heart. The Prodigy played a vital role in that; they confirmed that EXIT is part of that dream that a person can live with dignity and according to one\u2019s own standards. They are one of the most important experiences EXIT has brought to this environment repeatedly, and EXIT and The Prodigy continue to protect the authentic artistic quality of music, \u201c <\/i><\/b><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u2013<\/span><\/i> <b>Ambrozi\u0107 <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">concludes.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The local fans who lived through \u201c<\/span><b>The Prodigy experience\u201c<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> showed their gratitude by breaking the <\/span><b>Main Stage<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> attendance record each time the band came to <\/span><b>EXIT<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, and <\/span><b>The Prodigy<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> expressed their loyalty over the years by returning to the well-known stage again and again. The reciprocity of inspiration and influence between this iconic band and our society is evidenced by the song <\/span><b>\u201c<\/b><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=z5u-dyM--KE\"><b>Medicine<\/b><\/a><b>\u201c<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> from the album \u201c<\/span><b>The Day Is My Enemy\u201c<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, in which <\/span><b>Liam Howlett<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> admitted to being inspired by the traditional sound of the Balkans in a Reddit AMA.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">During the tour on which they promoted this very album in 2016, <\/span><b>The Prodigy <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">changed their schedule at the last minute to perform at the <\/span><b>EXIT festival<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, spurred on by a poll in which as many as 92% of the 25,000 respondents declared that they wanted to see the electro-punk giants perform again in Serbia. When the band heard of this survey, they decided to book a show for a fourth consecutive night and put the Petrovaradin Fortress on the global music map once more. This was their last performance at Exit thus far.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>The Prodigy <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">have announced a big comeback tour for 2023, during which they will visit the most prominent European festivals and which is already enjoying the status of next year\u2019s most requested tour.
