This unity put New York&#8217;s Staten Island on the global map and brought something entirely new to the world of hip-hop and music in general. By tearing down the old world, they built their own.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The idea was first to record a big joint album, then continue with solo releases, collaborations, and reunions whenever the opportunity arose. In November 1993, the world was introduced to \u201c<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=ni8JeRpSTYA&amp;list=PLperFR6h_azr-jY8V92iHtNqI_ECToCXk\"><b>Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers)<\/b><\/a><b>.<\/b><b>\u201c<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> After <\/span><b>\u201c<\/b><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=1_-3Bh1VFI8\"><b>Protect Ya Neck<\/b><\/a><b>\u201c<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> came the iconic \u201c<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=PBwAxmrE194\"><b>C.R.E.A.M.<\/b><\/a><b>\u201c<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and \u201c<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=7m148vZDwJA\"><b>Can It Be All So Simple<\/b><\/a><b>.<\/b><b>\u201c<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Today, these tracks are classics, and the phrase <\/span><b>&#8220;Cash rules everything around me&#8221;<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> still resonates just as strongly three decades later.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>RZA, <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">one of the founding members, along with his cousins <\/span><b>GZA<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and <\/span><b>Ol&#8217; Dirty Bastard<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, is the visionary behind the entire Clan. His musical prowess forms the foundation of their creative output. Under his guidance, the group and the solo projects he produced created a hazy, surreal, and ominous soundscape characterized by hard-hitting beats, keyboard riffs, and minimal samples. Layered on top were potent rhymes, consistently delivering old-school themes charged with brutal violence, martial arts imagery, and a unique, distorted sense of humor. Their sound remains one of the most recognizable in hip-hop.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Method Man<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> was the first to &#8220;break from the flock&#8221; and find solo success. If <\/span><b>RZA<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> was the brains of the operation, the wild card in the whole saga was the infamous <\/span><b>Ol\u2019 Dirty Bastard<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u2013\u00a0 \u201c<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=h2zgB93KANE\"><b>Shimmy Shimmy Ya<\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201c became the mantra of the entire crew, and his album \u201c<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=w81YY0nCgsI&amp;list=PL3r1ldjYHlYOB9K9aGiPkcv_lDD_Ejy9w\"><b>Return 36 Chambers: The Dirty Version<\/b><\/a><b>,<\/b><b>\u201c <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">along with the single \u201c<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=GRblYfKwa88\"><b>Brooklyn Zoo<\/b><\/a><b>,<\/b><b>\u201c<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> achieved cult status. <\/span><b>Raekwon<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and <\/span><b>Ghostface Killah<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> have always been the dynamic duo that wowed critics and the hip-hop world. The album was bought by Martin Shkreli, a widely disliked millionaire who ended up in prison for fraud in the pharmaceutical industry. The FBI seized the one-of-a-kind album. This is their latest official LP release \u2013 one that no one has heard.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Wu-Tang Clan<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> has performed at <\/span><b>EXIT<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> before \u2013 in 2007, they headlined the last day. They return 16 years later, on <\/span><b>Sunday, July 9<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, to <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.exitfest.org\/en\/stages\/gorki-list-main-stage\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><b>Gorki List Main Stage<\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. Some of us were there back then, and now we&#8217;re older. Some of us were born around that time or were very young, but together, for one night, we can forget about trivial things like age and shout in unison, <\/span><b>&#8220;Protect Ya Neck&#8221;<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and <\/span><b>&#8220;Shimmy Shimmy Ya.\u201d<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Because whatever happens, one thing is certain \u2013
