EXIT 2.0: All your questions answered

3. Juli 2021. — Author: EXIT

This year, the EXIT festival takes place in particular circumstances, which, as announced, will reflect on the conditions of entry to the festival and the duration of the procedure, all to create the safest conditions possible within the festival space.

The Crisis Response Team of the Republic of Serbia has provided us with written consent for the organization of the festival, given the implementation of a security protocol based on a series of scientific research across Europe, which we will present in detail here so that our festival can be one of the safest meeting places in Serbia.

First of all, we would like to emphasize that WE NEED YOUR HELP and cooperation to avoid crowds and for everyone to enter the festival on time. We are hugely privileged to have the rare opportunity to come together again at the festival we love most, and that is why each of us should do everything in our power to make this year’s complex entry procedure as straightforward as possible.

We have done everything in our power, providing free tests for ticket holders and additional voucher exchange points. The rules stated here have been approved by the Crisis Response Team and are the only way for us to be together again, safe, at our Fortress from 8th to 11th July, and we ask all visitors to read them and adhere to them in detail.

We especially emphasize that the entire process of exchanging vouchers for festival bracelets will be significantly longer compared to previous years, involving more checks and tests than before, which is why everyone should EXCHANGE THEIR VOUCHERS FROM MONDAY 5th July to WEDNESDAY 7th JULY. Unfortunately, neglecting the processes, conditions, and deadlines listed here can lead to massive crowds and the festival becoming impossible to enter for many visitors.

IMPORTANT: WE CANNOT GUARANTEE ENTRY TO THE FESTIVAL BEFORE THE CLOSING OF THE GATES ON THURSDAY 8TH JULY TO ANYONE WHO DOES NOT EXCHANGE THEIR VOUCHER BY 8:00 PM ON THAT DAY.

Entry protocols are described for each way of entering the festival, with regard to citizenship and the type of ticket purchased.

I am a foreigner, and to enter Serbia, I needed a prescribed document — proof of vaccination or PCR test. I bought a four-day ticket (Regular or VIP GOLD). What should I do?

The four-day voucher needs to be exchanged for a festival wristband.

You need to show the document you used when entering the country (PCR test not older than 72 hours, proof of vaccination, etc.), voucher, and identification document.

All visitors coming to EXIT from abroad are instructed to inform themselves on the conditions of entry into Serbia from their respective countries, as well as the conditions of return.

You can enter the festival exclusively through the main entrance (by Lovoturs)

I am a citizen of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, or North Macedonia, and I did not need proof of vaccination or a PCR test to enter Serbia. I bought a four-day ticket (Regular or VIP GOLD). What should I do?

The four-day voucher needs to be exchanged for a festival wristband. Visitors who do not have to show any document or test to enter Serbia must perform a rapid antigen test.

As a voucher-holder, EXIT provides you with a free rapid antigen test. To access the test, you’ll need to have a valid four-day voucher and a form of ID. The testing will be performed in Hall 1 of the Novi Sad Fair from Wednesday 7th July to Sunday 11th July, from 10 am to 6 pm. If the result is negative, you will be able to pick up your festival wristband in the same place on Wednesday 7 July and Thursday 8 July by showing your voucher along with an identification document, while starting from Friday 9 July you can do so on other exchange points listed at the bottom of the page.

If you cannot make it to the free testing at the Fair, EXIT has collaborated with Aqualab and Medlab and agreed on a discounted rate of testing for EXIT ticket holders. You can find the list of addresses and opening hours of said labs at the bottom of this page.

FAQ

Conditions when entering Serbia
Conditions for entering Serbia are divided into three groups and depending on the country you come from, they can be:

a) free entry
b) PCR test
c) PCR test or vaccination certificate

What protection measures will be present at the festival?
EXIT, together with other major Serbian festivals, has developed protocols in line with the latest scientific studies conducted at several European test events that have shown that in the event of restrictions on admission to concerts and festivals to those vaccinated, who have undergone Covid-19, or who show a negative result on the kovid test, the risk of spreading the infection is almost negligible. The protocol, with the positive opinion of the Institute for Public Health of Belgrade and key epidemiologists involved in the work of the Crisis Response Team on behalf of the city of Belgrade and Novi Sad, was submitted to the Government of Serbia for approval. This document will make festivals and concerts the safest places in Serbia, far safer than other gathering places that do not have these restrictions.

What if I get stuck in Serbia with a positive test? Can you help me somehow?
If such an unpleasant situation occurs, we will help you as much as possible.

In order to get current and relevant information regarding travel measures, please contact authorities in your home country.

What if I already bought a ticket for EXIT for the 2020 edition?
All EXIT 2020 tickets are automatically valid for 2021 festival (unless refunded).

What happens if I can’t take part in the event due to epidemical reasons?
If you can’t take part in this year’s event due to epidemical reasons (see exact definition below), you have the possibility to change your ticket(s) to 2022 EXIT ticket(s). This includes all tickets, (entry, camping, lockers). This ticket exchange is only possible at latest until 1 July 2021 via an official request sent to your ticket retailer (including clear reasoning). The retailer will inform you about the decision within 5 days after receiving your request.

Definition of „epidemical reasons“:
– border between your country and Serbia is closed
– travelling to Serbia would result in quarantine after returning home (even if you take the PCR test)
– travelling to Serbia for touristic reasons would result in a financial penalty after returning home (even if you take the PCR test)
– you’re tested positive before entering Serbia and can’t enter the country

PLEASE NOTE: Having to take a Covid test to enter Serbia (or returning to the country of origin) in itself DOES NOT qualify as an „epidemical reason“.

Can I sell my ticket?
The re-sale of any ticket(s) purchased through our website is prohibited, only the named ticket holder can redeem that ticket. Tickets found in the possession of anyone but the named ticket holder will become void without a refund issued.

I won the ticket as a prize through a competition. What should I do?
If you won a ticket through a competition or at an event, you are not eligible for a refund, but you can change the ticket to a 2022 ticket.

What if I want to change the booked accommodation through the EXIT Trip tourist service?
The reservation can be changed depending on the possibilities and availability for a specific service. For all changes of accommodation booked through EXIT Trip tourist service, please contact [email protected]. Their customer service will do its best to meet your needs.

I have booked my accommodation and/or travel privately, but need to change it, what should I do?
Unfortunately, this is out of our reach, but we advise you to get in touch with the company/hotel where you made your reservations and see what your options are.

If I bought a festival package (EXIT ticket + accommodation) last year, can I use my EXIT ticket this year and refund or exchange the booked accommodation through the EXIT Trip tourist service?
The good news is that you don’t have to do anything to be a part of this year’s festival. All packages are automatically valid for this year’s festival. For all changes of accommodation booked through EXIT Trip tourist service, please contact [email protected]. Their customer service will do its best to meet your needs.

I am a Serbian citizen. I bought a four-day ticket (Regular or VIP GOLD). What should I do?

The four-day voucher needs to be exchanged for a festival bracelet. This year, there is an additional condition for the exchange, which is that the visitor meets one of the following conditions:

  1. They have been immunized against COVID-19 by means of vaccination or by having had the virus (in accordance with health regulations in the Republic of Serbia) or,
  2. They have undergone a rapid antigen test immediately preceding the exchange.

Exchange options:

1. If you have been immunized in one of the two ways mentioned above, you need to request the issuance of the Digital Green Certificate via the eUprava portal. If the status of your Digital Green Certificate is “green” (it contains information about you having had the disease at least two weeks and at most six months before, information about vaccination with the Astra Zeneca vaccine or revaccination with any of the other vaccines), you meet the immunization requirements and can exchange your voucher for a festival bracelet. It would be best to print out the Digital Green Certificate (for the verification procedure to go faster) and show it at an exchange location along with an identification document.

2. As a ticket holder, EXIT has provided you with a free rapid antigen test.

You can enter the festival exclusively through the main entrance — Entrance 1 (near Lovoturs) .

WE URGE ALL VISITORS WITH FOUR-DAY VOUCHERS LIVING IN NOVI SAD AND ITS SURROUNDING AREA, WHO WERE IMMUNIZED IN ONE OF THE WAYS DESCRIBED ABOVE AND HAVE A VALID DIGITAL GREEN CERTIFICATE TO EXCHANGE THEIR VOUCHERS FOR FESTIVAL BRACELETS ON MONDAY 5TH OR TUESDAY 6TH JULY TO REDUCE THE EXPECTED CROWDS ON LATER DATES.

I am a Serbian citizen. I bought a one-day ticket (Regular or VIP GOLD). What should I do?

It would be best if you printed out the Digital Green Certificate (for the verification procedure to go faster) and show it upon entry along with a personal document to confirm your identity.

2. As a ticket holder, EXIT has provided you with a free rapid antigen test. To access the test, you’ll need to have a valid one-day ticket and a form of ID.
