It is with profound sorrow that we report the passing of an eighteen-year-old young man at the EXIT festival. According to unofficial information from Emergency Services, he was found unconscious on the Varadinski Bridge and later passed away at the Clinical Center of Vojvodina. The exact cause of death will be confirmed in the official report, though it is suspected that excessive use of various narcotics may have been a factor.
We extend our deepest condolences to the family and friends of the deceased. Our thoughts are with them at this difficult time. Since its inception, EXIT Festival has been a staunch advocate against drug use at our events. Throughout the year, we conduct numerous educational campaigns and activities aimed at preventing drug abuse and raising awareness about its harmful effects. We are committed to intensifying these efforts moving forward.
As a society, we must collectively strive to educate young people and guide them toward healthier life choices. Alongside campaigns highlighting the detrimental effects of psychoactive substance use, appropriate legal measures are necessary to address and minimize this issue. Drug use, alcohol and tobacco consumption, digital addiction, gambling, and the increasingly prevalent mental health challenges faced by youth are significant problems that require timely and continuous action from all sectors of society.
