Calvin Harris Subtly Hints at a New Album Via Twitter

One of the biggest stars of this year’s EXIT, Calvin Harris, tickled his fans’ imaginations with a mysterious tweet, hinting at a new album. With only 16 characters, “Vol 2 is gonna be mad,” he stirred numerous speculations about what he was preparing. Although nothing has yet been made official, EDM Tunes and The Music Essentials report that a sequel to his album “Funk Wav Bounces Vol. 1” is coming.

With more than two billion streams and collaborations with Frank Ocean, Nicki Minaj, Ariana Grande, John Legend, Travis Scott, and others, Vol. 1 is one of Calvin’s most successful releases ever.

Platinum records are awarded to musicians for singles and albums sold in more than a million copies. Joel’s song featuring MNEK “Head and Heart” won as many as six of these awards in Australia alone, along with three in Britain, and two each in Belgium, Italy, and New Zealand. This is also one of Joel Corry’s most famous singles, with over 200 million views on YouTube, topping the UK charts for 71 weeks in a row.

ZHU: Swedish House Mafia x The Weeknd Meets ZHU

The American producer ZHU dropped a teaser to his Instagram followers via a photo of a Dropbox file entitled “SHMXWEEKN…HU(zlab).mp3”. The fans almost immediately clocked that this was a remix of the single “Moth to a Flame” by Swedish House Mafia and The Weeknd. The eight-minute file caused a stir among the fans, and although ZHU did not provide any information other than that the file exists, fans of all of these performers are eagerly anticipating the track’s release.

Anfisa Letyago: New EP “Listen & Nisida Vol 3”

Anfisa Letyago announced her new EP Listen & Nisida Vol 3 (released March 11) featuring Calibre, Closet Yi and DJ Seinfeld. This is the third EP in a series that started when she founded her own music label N:S:DA and released “Listen & Nisida Vol 1”,  following the second installment a month ago.

She started the year by being featured on the Class of 2022 list by EDM Magazine, a list of “ten musicians with transformative skills who are on the verge of changing the electronic music scene as we know it.” Anfisa was #4 on the list, and the magazine dubbed her “a force to be reckoned with.”

The Undertones: “Dig What You Need”

The pop-punk-rock band The Undertones have released a “best of” compilation, which sums up their 13 best studio recordings from the 2000s when the band experienced its renaissance after a long hiatus. Producer Paul Tipler has remixed and remastered the original songs, adding a new shine to them, along with the vocals of current frontman Paul McLoone.

Hand in hand with the new album, the band also started its latest tour in Sheffield. After many postponements and cancellations, The Undertones will finally perform throughout the UK during the spring and summer.
