Nick Cave: “Stranger Than Kindness” Exhibition and Film “This Much I Know to Be True”

Nick Cave prepares for the premiere of his exhibition “Stranger Than Kindness“ in North America and announces the film “This Much I Know To Be True“, which brings his collaboration with Warren Ellis to the big screen.

Stranger Than Kindness“ was originally presented in Copenhagen and will have its North American premiere in Montreal on 8th April. The exhibition provides an insight into this versatile artist’s creative world, his methods, and his sources of inspiration. “Featuring more than 300 items that Nick Cave has collected or created over six decades of his creative and private life, combined into large installations, the exhibition is a work of art in itself,” reads the exhibition’s description.

On the other end of Cave’s creative spectrum, “This Much I Know To Be True“, the sequel to the music documentary “One More Time With Feeling“, is coming to big screens worldwide. The new film explores the creative relationship between Nick Cave and Warren Ellis and presents songs from the last two albums they created together, “Ghosteen“ and “Carnage“. Andrew Dominik directed both films. “This Much I Know To Be True“ premiered at this year’s Berlin Film Festival and will come to life in cinemas worldwide on 11th May.

James Arthur: New Single “Lose My Mind“ and a BBC Documentary

James Arthur, the singer of the most beautiful ballads and headliner of this year’s EXIT festival, presented his new single “Lose My Mind“, featuring Josh Franceschi, frontman of the rock band You Me At Six. The winner of the British X-Factor cannot hide his excitement regarding this collaboration: “I am so excited to share with you my new song ’Lose My Mind’, with the one and only Josh Franceschi. As I grew up listening to rock bands, this song means a lot to me and is the first new track from my Deluxe album coming on 11th March,” James posted on his official Twitter account.

In the upcoming documentary “James Arthur: Out of Our Minds,” in collaboration with the BBC, the singer will shed light on the crucial topic of men’s mental health and his personal struggle with depression. James has previously spoken openly about his anxiety after the triumphant victory in the ninth series of the British X-Factor and will share his story in the upcoming BBC 3 documentary.

“Bad Idea“ – A New Music Video from Blind Channel

The guys from the nu-metal band Blind Channel presented their (not so) bad idea to the world — a new official video for the song “Bad Idea“, as an overture for the upcoming album “Lifestyles Of The Sick & Dangerous“. We will undoubtedly be among the first to hear the songs from the new album live, on the Main Stage of the EXIT Festival, as its release has been announced for July this year!

Speaking about the new song, the band says, “Bad Idea is a serenade of self-pity and an unsuccessful apology. In the lyrics, we’re getting personal and digging deeper than ever. The song came to life many years ago, when relationships ended in a very ugly manner, and all you could think of was: ‘well, I warned you,” Distorted Sound magazine reports.

Coach Party Present Video Single “Weird Me Out“

British indie-rock quartet Coach Party have released a new video single, “Weird Me Out“, and announced their third EP “, Nothing Is Real“, to be released on 29th April. Frontwoman Jess Eastwood explained the song’s important message: “If you take standards as set by the media too seriously, which is easily done, you end up with a very unrealistic idea of what a relationship should look like. ‘Weird Me Out’ is about the desire to change someone (or yourself) to fit that image you have of a perfect relationship, but also stepping back and remembering to stop comparing yourself to manufactured ideals“, she said for DORK.
