Italian singer Gala also spoke of her emotional connection with the audience, delivering an opening ceremony performance with a strong message: “The crowd was warm, but they also had a ‘fight the power’ energy that matches mine. It was hard to leave the stage.” Her Instagram posts also show just how much EXIT meant to her.

Like the artists, the audience was flooded with emotion and hasn’t stopped sharing their messages with EXIT through social media: “EXIT – thank you, you touched my soul,” “Definitely one of the best festivals in the world,” “Four unforgettable nights, endless music, beautiful souls, and memories we’ll carry forever,” are just a few comments reflecting the profound impact of this year’s festival. One festivalgoer summed it up perfectly: “See you soon. I believe this isn’t the end, but a new beginning.” That emotion is likely what best captures how tens of thousands of people left Petrovaradin Fortress on the morning of July 14.

That collective energy and powerful emotional bond between audience and performers is exactly why EXIT has held a special place on the global festival map for 25 years.
