In honor of the 15th anniversary of their debut album “Happiness” (2010), Hurts teamed up with renowned German producer Purple Disco Machine to present a brand-new remix titled “Wonderful Life ’25.”

The globally acclaimed band Hurts and the dance music maestro Purple Disco Machine thrilled fans with their take on this cult classic. The remix combines newly recorded vocals by frontman Theo Hutchcraft with Purple Disco Machine’s signature funky production, delivering a refined sound marked by groovy basslines that enhance the original synth-pop tones. The result reflects the band’s Italo disco roots and revives the spirit of the legendary hit “Wonderful Life.”

The multi-award-winning band Hurts was formed in 2009 in Manchester. Their debut album, “Happiness,” was an innovative blend of lyrical depth and modern electro-pop elements, serving as the launchpad for their musical journey.

Just two years later, they were named Best New Band at the prestigious NME Awards, followed by recognition for Best Performance at the UK’s Glastonbury Festival. Since then, they’ve continued developing their distinctive sound across four albums: “Exile,” “Surrender,” “Desire,” and their most recent release, “Faith” (2020). This last album features major hits like “Somebody,” “Voices,” “Suffer,” and “Redemption,” often highlighting darker emotional pop elements, which the band emphasizes as the essence of their work.

With their sophisticated and minimalist stage presence, Hurts quickly earned a reputation as one of the finest live bands of today. Their performance at Exit in 2014, early in their career, is still remembered as one of the festival’s standout moments. Their return to Exit’s Main Stage is set for Saturday, July 12, now with a richer and more mature career behind them, underscoring both the importance of this anniversary and their continued relevance on the modern music scene.
