Cosmicat deserves her place in EXIT’s line-up not only as a new, high-quality musical act but also as a symbol of connecting cultures, nations, and the global electronic scene, which EXIT traditionally strives for.

Cosmicat (Nouf Sufyani) is a leading DJ/producer from Saudi Arabia, born and raised in Jeddah, the country’s second-largest city. She has always had a passion for music, but in an environment where such a thing is taboo, she had limited access to musical equipment, live performances, records, and music in general. However, she did not give up; she bought her first piece of equipment online and started playing music in her bedroom. A few years later, she began to develop her sound, conquering the scenes of Bahrain, Libya, Kuwait, and the United Arab Emirates.

This was followed by a performance at the Soundstorm festival, where she shared the stage with big names such as Peggy Gou, Jamie Jones, Solomun, R3HAB, Steve Aoki and Martin Garrix. Her electronic sound is influenced by pop, disco, hip hop, and R&B, along with grooves and samples from the 90s and early 2000s.

The EXIT Festival is honoured that the Petrovaradin Fortress in Serbia will be where Cosmicat will have her first performance outside the Middle East, presenting her music to a global audience. Cosmicat joins EXIT’s other influential female acts, who have shown perseverance and an assertive attitude, each in her own field. They include Iggy Azalea, Honey Dijon, Blond:ish, Sama’ Abdulhadi, Anfisa Letyago, ANNA, Indira Paganotto, Cera Khin, Kristin Velvet, Saya Noé, Lucie Antunes, as well as regional queens Konstrakta, Senida, Sajsi MC, Mimi Mercedez, Bojana Vunturišević, Muha, Tam and many others.
