Epica, Jenner, and 23 other bands bring a powerful guitar sound to EXIT!

After the announcement of one of the biggest new rock bands, Viagra Boys, other bearers of fierce, powerful sound will make EXIT a festival of metal, punk, and rock'n'roll again from the 6th to the 9th of July this year!

Epica, one of the world’s leading symphonic-metal bands from the Netherlands, will arrive on the Main Stage, along with the Belgrade metal band Jenner. There are also 23 new names joining the iconic Explosive stage, led by the Canadian Exciter and the American Massacre, who will perform for the first time in Serbia, the Brazilian metalheads NervoChaos, Mexican Armada, Danish Night Fever, Italian Violentor, and many others! They join the previously announced hardcore punks Wolfbrigade, punk-rock diva Suzi Moon, UK legends Cockney Rejects, as well as The Toasters and Mortal Kombat, who will perform on the famous Visa Fusion stage.

The symphonic-metal band Epica, a sextet led by the unique vocals of Simone Simons, warps into the EXIT Universe. They have eight studio albums in their music portfolio, half of which hit the top 10 best-selling list in the Netherlands, while the LP releases Requiem for the Indifferent(2012) and The Quantum Enigma (2014) achieved international recognition and found themselves on the US Billboard Top 200 chart. They also received a Music Export Award in 2015 as the most successful internationally recognised Dutch band, while the 2016 album “The Holographic Principle was ranked tenth on Loudersound’s top list of the best symphonic-metal LP releases. They are joined on the Main Stage by the Belgrade thrash metal band Jenner, whose album “To Live is to Suffer,” released by the French Infernö Records, received positive reviews worldwide.

The guitar temple of the EXIT festival, the iconic Explosive stage, will be rocked by 23 of the hottest hardcore, metal and punk bands from different parts of the world. The legendary Canadian band Exciter, speed metal pioneers with a musical career spanning almost half a century, and the American Massacre, whose debut album From Beyond defined and directed death metal as a genre, will perform in Serbia for the first time. They are joined by the Brazilian NervoChaos, who announced their upcoming eleventh studio album “Chthonic Wrath” with singles “Son of Sin, Torn Apart, and Taphephobia,“ as well as the Mexican metal band Armada, Italian Violentor, and Danish hardcore punk band Night Fever, while Sacred Reich will unfortunately not perform after all.

A robust regional line-up is led by the internationally acclaimed Belgrade speed/thrash metal band Bombarder, the cult Bulgarian band Hyperborea, Slovenian punks Hak Attak and metalheads Sarcasm, Croatian Flesh and Dead Dog Summer, hardcore quartet Urban Instinkt from Bosnia and Herzegovina, and punk rock quintet Punkreas from Montenegro. At the same time, the local scene will be represented by Larska, Polywhy, Svlak, 3 A. M., Affliction, Fiskalni račun, Vršnjačko nasilje, Dead Joker and Claymorean.

Aside from the guitar sound and fierce underground led by Viagra Boys, Epica, Cockney Rejects, The Toasters, Jenner, Wolfbrigade, Exciter, Massacre, Suzi Moon and many others, the multi-genre experience of the EXIT festival will include the most influential electro-punk band of all time, The Prodigy, hip-hop gods Wu-Tang Clan, multiple Grammy Award winner Skrillex, Alesso, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Sofi Tukker, Claptone, Chase & Status, as well as the most sought-after acts on the electronic music scene, the Keinemusik collective, the duo CamelPhat, Indira Paganotto, Hot Since 82, LF System, Vintage Culture and many others.
