Mau P has become a mainstay on the Beatport charts, with tracks like „Gimme That Bounce”, „Metro” i „BEATS FROM THE UNDERGROUND” reaching top spots and dominating club scenes worldwide, from EDC Las Vegas and Tomorrowland to Hï Ibiza and Amsterdam Dance Event, where he won the prestigious SLAM! Global Breakthrough Award. In February, he released a remix of Tame Impala’s iconic track „The Less I Know The Better”, on Nervous Records, which skyrocketed to #1 on Beatport just two days after its release!
Born in Amsterdam, which has been the global capital of electronic music for decades, Mau P began his career under the name Maurice West. His true artistic transformation came in mid-2022, when he reinvented himself as Mau P – an artist with a darker, rawer edge and a deep underground aesthetic. His debut single under the new moniker, “Drugs From Amsterdam” quickly became a global hit, charting in countries around the world.
Driven by a desire to showcase his authenticity and deep connection to music, Mau P has emerged as one of the most intriguing performers of his generation, with a charisma, dynamic lifestyle, social media aesthetic, fashion sense, and, of course, infectious dance moves that captivate audiences at every set. His very first single, “Merther” released on the Defected label, reimagined the reggae classic “World a Music” into a high-energy club anthem, earning a place in the sets of electronic giants like Solomun, CamelPhat, John Summit, and Patrick Topping. Last year, he entered the DJ Mag Top 100 list, further cementing his status as one of the most promising DJs in today’s electronic scene.
At the height of his creative powers, Mau P is announcing a string of major performances and new releases that are set to define the year. His latest concept, Baddest Behaviour, known for its bold production and all-night sets, debuted at an exclusive party at London’s Electric Brixton in March. With a high-energy set, he delivered a seamless fusion of house, techno, and underground sound, which has become a trademark of the concept. Following its London premiere and sold-out shows in New York, Miami, Denver, and Brooklyn, Baddest Behaviour is heading to Ibiza this summer. From June to August, Mau P will host a weekly residency every Wednesday at the legendary Pacha club, joined by pioneers of electronic music like Patrick Mason, CamelPhat, Hot Since 82, Seth Troxler, Mind Against, and many more.

These days, Mau P continues to impress fans with his debut EP, Too Big for B-side”. The track „Like I Like It” delivers acid groove basslines intertwined with electrifying vocals, while the second track, „People Talk People Sing” dives into deeper, hypnotic sequences through its layered production, defining the signature Mau P sound. The release came out under Solomun’s renowned label, Diynamic.
After conquering both Ultra Miami and Coachella together last month, Solomun and Mau P are teaming up once again – this time on July 12th at the Petrovaradin Fortress, leading the Diynamic Stage Takeover at the iconic Dance Arena alongside DJ Gigola, Tijana T, Ogazón, Lanna, and Hobin Rude.
