Andras Berta, long-time marketing director of Sziget and president of the marketing group at the most important Association of European Festivals — Yourope, has taken over the position of International Marketing Manager of EXIT’s festivals. Nikki McNeill from the UK is the new International PR manager. At the same time, one of the leading regional public relations experts in the musical industry, Sanjin Đukić from Zagreb, has been appointed Director of Public Relations.

One of the new team’s most important goals in the celebratory year will focus on strengthening EXIT’s international influence and attracting as many foreign visitors as possible. The intention is to increase EXIT’s contribution to the domestic tourist economy, which for the past 20 years amounted to around 200 million euros. The festival hopes to bring another 200 million to the Serbian economy by 2030.

Hungarian Andras Berta is considered one of the leading marketing experts in the European festival industry. His engagement as International Marketing Director of the Sziget Festival between 2010 and 2017 stands out from his vast pool of experience. During this time, the Hungarian festival experienced major international expansion. Another thing that stands out in Andras’ CV is his position as Program Coordinator at Music Export Hungary, in the period between 2005 and 2007. Andras is currently President of the Marketing Group at the leading European festival association — Yourope. Upon assuming his new position, Andras said: “I am honoured to join EXIT, which is definitely one of the most famous festivals in the world. For me personally, it is particularly important that this is more than ‘just’ a festival, given its intense community-service involvement.”

Nikki McNeill from Britain is the founder of Global Publicity, one of the most prominent public relations agencies in the European music and festival industries. With more than 22 years of experience, she has worked with events such as Amsterdam Dance Event, Eurosonic Noorderslag, Lowlands, Secret Solstice, and many others. Nikki is a long-term associate of the EXIT festival, and this year, she will assume the position of International PR Manager. “I have been cooperating with EXIT since 2002, and both the team and the festival itself are extremely important to me. I am honoured to take on such an important position within the organization in the year in which we celebrate our 20th anniversary,” said Nikki McNeill on this occasion.

Sanjin Đukić is a PR and marketing manager from Croatia, with more than two decades of experience on the regional music scene, who has been a member of EXIT’s Croatian team for 15 seasons. He served as Director of Umag Sea Star Festival, and in anticipation of the celebration of EXIT’s 20th anniversary, he takes over as PR Director of the entire EXIT organization. In addition to working on festivals, he has promoted more than 600 concerts, including the likes of Foo Fighters, The Prodigy, Iron Maiden, Many Chao, Sigur Ros, Duran Duran, Slayer, and Prophets of Rage. “We have always considered our domestic audience to include people not only from Serbia but the entire region, and it will always be that way. Therefore, proudly appointing a PR director from Croatia is a typical EXIT move, which shows the full breadth of our organization,” said Sanjin Đukić on this occasion.

The celebration of the 20th anniversary of the EXIT festival will take place from the 8th to 11th of July at the Petrovaradin Fortress, with performances by numerous artists.
