The label builds on the namesake project from 2011, which delivered club-ready edits of iconic pop and R&B hits. The new label kicks off with the official release of “Love Recycled 4,” a modern reinterpretation of the 1980 disco track “Angel In My Pocket,” originally performed by the band Change.
The label was launched just ahead of his performance at the milestone edition of the EXIT Festival, where Solomun will headline the Diynamic Stage Takeover at one of the biggest dance arenas in the world – the iconic Dance Arena, joined by Mau P, DJ Gigolo, Tijana T, Ogazon, Lanna, and Hobin Rude on Saturday, July 12.
The idea of reimagining musical classics is not new in Solomun’s career. Back in 2011, he introduced the first Love Recycled remixes, including underground versions of hits like Michael McDonald’s “I Keep Forgettin.” These early edits were never officially released but circulated among DJs and fans as rare treats for sets, as noted by the respected electronic and club music portal EDM House Network. However, with growing interest from audiences, Solomun decided to transform the entire project into a full-fledged music platform.
“Love Recycled is now entering a new phase – it’s no longer limited to my releases, rather we want to create space for other artists who share the same aesthetic and emotion,” says Solomun. The label’s mission is to breathe new life into past hits through modern production and a house music sensibility, honoring the original melody while adding freshness, depth, and contemporary club energy.
The first release, “Love Recycled 4,” is already available, and the acclaimed electronic music magazine When We Dip notes that the new version of “Angel In My Pocket” retains the warmth and groove of the original, while Solomun’s production signature frames it in a modern context with Balearic beats and sophisticated synth layers.
At this year’s EXIT Festival, on Saturday, July 12, Solomun will deliver another memorable night on the monumental Dance Arena, reminding everyone once again why this place has remained a symbol of unity, with its special energy connecting people through music for the past 25 years.
