Their show on the iconic Other Stage delivered a signature mix of rave, punk, and industrial, along with a stirring tribute to the late frontman Keith Flint, whose presence was felt throughout the night.
This performance comes just days before their appearance at the EXIT Festival, where they’ll headline the Main Stage on Friday, July 11, as part of the world premiere of the Rebel Rave concept. Joining them on the lineup are next-gen techno star I Hate Models, the techno-metal duo Paolo Ferrara and Lorenzo Raganzini with an exclusive back-to-back set, and Trym.
The Prodigy, with frontman Maxim Reality, producer Liam Howlett, and drummer Leo Crabtree, put on a fierce Glastonbury show, packed with classics like “Breathe”, “Voodoo People” “Firestarter, “Smack My Bitch Up” and “Out of Space”. One particularly moving moment came during their performance of the iconic “Firestarter” when a laser silhouette of Keith Flint lit up the stage, while his original vocals echoed over the band’s flawlessly tight production. “Paying tribute to Keith, holding his energy. Is there anything even close to them?” added another fan, capturing the essence of what The Prodigy still means to audiences today.
“The Prodigy. One of the most electrifying, unhinged, and incredible bands I’ve ever seen live. This return to Glastonbury is off the charts. That’s what a festival headliner looks like.”, declared famous British motorsport journalist Will Buxton on X following the show.
In addition to honoring the late Flint, this show from the revolutionary band also sent a strong message that The Prodigy still belong at the top of the global music scene.
For all The Prodigy fans, EXIT Festival is running a special campaign on the official EXIT Instagram page through July 9, whereby fans can win tickets to see these electro-punk legends live on the Main Stage on Friday, July 11.
