Those who were unable to attend the premiere, as well as anyone who wants to revisit this remarkable event, can now watch the performance in its entirety.

EMERGENCY EXIT is the first performance of its kind in Europe, created in collaboration between EXIT Festival and the renowned Spanish performance company La Fura dels Baus, celebrated for its spectacular large-scale productions. The music was composed by producer Satori, while the visual segment was created by the artistic collective Eyesberg, together forming an immersive experience that erases the boundaries between stage and audience.

Before tens of thousands of people at the Petrovaradin Fortress, the performance delivered a simple yet powerful message: “Peace on Earth. Peace with Earth.”

At a time of climate change and its far-reaching consequences, when the future and preservation of our planet are in sharp focus, art is taking a leading role in raising environmental awareness and calling for a change in humanity’s relationship with nature. The festival sector, as a platform for gathering and collective action, is no exception.

EMERGENCY EXIT is not a concert, nor a theatre performance; not a visual spectacle, dance piece, or installation. It is a new format that merges sound, movement, imagery, and raw human energy into a singular experience that is not merely watched but lived.

The premiere drew a large audience and provoked strong reactions, confirming that contemporary performance can be just as relevant and essential within a festival setting as the music program itself.

The performance is also a call to all of you, whether you are a visitor, performer, artist, festival worker, sponsor, or volunteer, to join in signing the Manifesto for the Planet’s Salvation, which will continue to evolve throughout the EMERGENCY EXIT project. The European Union supports the project through its Creative Europe program.

The project is carried out by the partner organizations EXIT Foundation, La Fura dels Baus, Boom Festival, Sea Star Festival, and the Dutch organization Buro Nuvo (formerly Green Events).

After premiering at the EXIT Festival and being staged at Portugal’s Boom Festival, EMERGENCY EXIT continues its journey, with its next stop being the Sea Star Festival in Umag, set to take place this May.
